My TDG of an U.S. Allied invasion of Equestria.
This was just for fun people.

EDIT- Some of the issues I see in comments.

I dont care if you think that Celestia could swat planes from the sky.
No way magic could counter bullets. A bullet travels at supersonic speeds. Your brains will be on the ground before you ever hear the shot.
The canon theory behind magic is that most unicorns only have "A little" magic based on their special talent. Sketchy local telekinesis. I highly doubt many ponies specialize in countering modern war machines. So far the only pony who can create any substantial shield is Shining Armor, and his shield cracked when some changelings smashed their faces against it. I doubt it would withstand a salvo of Naval or artillery shellings. Or god forbid a bunker buster or JDAM.

Pegasi - bird-shot, miniguns, airbust flak, AA guns, Phalanx turrets, Canister Rounds... Im not worried about pegasi.

A tank weighs almost 70 tons. Nopony short of maybe Twilight/Cele/Luna is going to be tossing one into the air anytime soon. Even if they could, while a pony is busy painstakingly levitating things up to lethal heights, I am confident 30 others will light it up with machine gun fire.

I personally believe the fandom headcanon for the Alicorns is waaay overpowered.
Celestia got her ass kicked in less than a minute by a love bug. Twilight ran screaming for her life from a Timberwolf, Crystal Empire proved that Cadence can't hold up spells forever.
Alicorns are not infallible.

I did ignore Discord. He just comes with too many variables. So I'm just pretending he is away on vacation or something.

This is a nice thought out plan.
I like it when people construct hypotheticals, and you seem to have done a good job.

(no idea if the strategy is any good, im no strategist, but it sounds fantastic)

Would you consider an alternative plan for invading from another direction?

Or possibilities for overcoming any resistance you might face from, for example gryphons or dragons aiding the enemy?

Or other things that happen in real-world warfare which i simply cannot think of right now which might be hindrances?

Im sorry but If my nation tried to invade this peaceful kingdom... I would renounce my being a soldier.... thats just tyranny...

I will never turn my gun on innocent civilians, human or pony... I'd end up fighting for Equestria

But just for the sake of argument...

Implying a hypothetical invasion would be unwarranted.
Implying someone gave the order to shoot civilians.
Implying ponies are innocent.
Implying ponies are peaceful.
Has nothing to do with tyranny.
Something tells me you've never been deployed.

I guess my statement came across a little overbearing I apologize ^^'

And as for deployment you might as well say that... I mean I'm in Bahraini not exactly a hotspot for combat. So yeah fair to say I no little of actual engagement as of now until I get out of ADA.

Again I'm sorry I'd I sounded pompous during the last statement... Sometimes I let personal convictions get in the way of humor... It's something even my warrant says I need to work on... I need thicker ski. So to speak

Easy move clouds dale over the ocean outside of Baltimare and use the heavy guns and legions of Pegasus to cut off any resupply

It's too bad the Iowa-class ships were retired and now serve as floating museums, the image of them shelling the ponies back into the Stone Age is an amusing one.
